ESOL classes teach English to Speakers of Other Languages. They offer listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar skills to adults 16 and older, with limited English. Classes are offered at beginning, intermediate and advanced levels to help students develop practical communication skills and a deeper understanding of American culture. Our ESOL classes are also offered online.
Whether you’re beginning to learn English, want to earn a high school diploma or improve your English for college we’re ready to help you. We welcome more than 400 students from over 30 countries each year that include a diverse population of people who have recently moved to the U.S. to become permanent residents and others who are here to study.
Students must be at least 16 years old, not currently enrolled in high school and able to attend classes for at least one month. There is no visa or other documentation required.
Students must attend and complete both days of Orientation and pay tuition. Students should arrive on time. Space is limited. Late students are not admitted. No student is allowed to begin class until Orientation is completed.
Tuition and fees are $31.50 per term or semester. It must be paid at the time of registration, the first day of Orientation. It may be paid with cash, money order, credit or debit card. Tuition is the same regardless of the time of semester a student enrolls. We encourage students to enroll early in the term to get the most class instruction for their money.
Attend class regularly and arrive to class on time. Regular attendance and participation in class is very important for getting the most benefit and faster progress from our English classes.
There is no limit to how long you can study at ACE. The school year begins in August and continues through May. Students who study one or more semesters benefit the most. Some students find they progress through our beginning, intermediate and advanced classes and continue to benefit from the classes many years.
ESOL-English classes will help students gain and improve listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar skills. Students will also learn about U.S. customs and culture that will help them adjust to and understand living in the U.S.
